New Product
BJ Craft 3.1m Extra 300

BJ Craft just announced their new 40% extra 300! This is the final prototype before the production model will be available for sale. I was able to get a couple extra pictures of the plane from the company to share with you guys

Matt Stringer and myself will be competing with the new BJ Craft Extra at this years Tucson Aerobatic Shootout!

It looks very good. Some things that got my attention. Very good scale outline, not stretched too much like a Dalton. Closer to scale outline on the rudder and elevators and true to scale no elevator counterbalances. The Stab has been lowered to improve knife edge ( rudder to pitch coupling ). The gear mount looks beefy but not heavy and the gear/pants are just the coolest, nice airfoil shaped legs with slim pants! Should be a great sequence airplane. Maybe I can work OT during the winter to get one next spring LOL.

Best of luck in the Shootout!

I find it interesting that BJ craft, who up till now only made pattern planes, would make a more wild acrobatic plane. Also its 3.1 meter, well above the 2 meter limit in F3A.
I wonder how it flies.

It's intended for IMAC competition not pattern.
