Thanks !

Have to say I have nothing to do with this !

This guy has made is own airsoft gun (as well as the wing), nothing illegal in terms of power (in France, don't know about other countries)... and nothing unsafe at all. The gun weights something like 300g if I recall correctly.

The skywalker is also equipped with a gun but unfortunately the pilot has forgot its video receiver... so the first real dogfight will be coming soon !

I had to share this video because Fred has done so a great work he merits a bit of fame !

350g with BBs and a 16g COČ sparklet. But if we add the reinforcements of fixation and possibly a separate battery, it can go to 400g.

He came from more than 600km to have dogfight with me.
It's a pity for this forgetting, because we would have been able to have the first canon-dogfights of the history of the aeromodelling
And I think it will be more interresting if He can make holes in my plane too!
But it was not useless, these tests showed us that there were still things to be finalized.

Maybe you guys are technical enough to add a copilot to handle gunnery? Might be great to have a rotating gun tied to his head tracker.

I admit that I think of it, and I began to draw plans, but at the moment I prefer to be a fighter pilot than a machine gunner in a "flying truck"

C'esr super, Fred! You are a pioneer as usual.

Un petit conseil...

By the time you are in a tail chase you have given up quite a bit of advantage.

To improve your probability of hitting the target, attack from above and somewhere from the 4 to 8 o'clock. You just have to figure out the appropriate lead. This will actually give you more time on target as well as more vissible area to hit.

Thanks a lot, scrtsqrl
But don't flatter me too much, I'd be able to like that

In fact, it wasn't a real fight. The target wasn't fpv piloted, ( his pilot frogot some of his equipment at home, 600 km away from here: ) and he didn't tried to reverse the situation . In fact ,it was almost the same flight than my old 2009 video. A sort of test, but with bigger planes.
We found some problems to solve. For example, the response time of the machine gun is too long : when I pull the trigger, a servo activates a switch, and it is too slow. Because of that, even by anticipating, I fire almost always too late. I have to change it for an electronic contactor. The skywalker is also too slow, and my plane isn't very easy at slow speed. The cold weather was a problem with the COČ sparklett, because at the first flight we didn't thought we could put it on the car's motor to keep it warm before flying...

...And I have to admit too that I miss a lot of training , that's right.
Yes, I think I have to change my method of attack

We next meet with my friend in april, the 1rst . Hope he'll don't forget anything, this time. If the weather is good, we'll have for the first time some real aerial combats
Two fpv planes with one machine gun each...

On va s'marrer!!!
