Around here, flying outside begins in April.

It usually takes that long for the snow to melt.

Yup. It's white around here. It's snowing now, as you can see in Don's pic, and it'll snow into tomorrow.

I give Don a hard time about moving away, but at this time of year, I'm quite envious of his New Mexico weather.

"I wish I lived in southern CA."

I do:-))))))))))))))))))

About as far south as you can get without being in Mexico, but right now it isn't doing me much good. We have been/are/and are going to be socked in with rain for the next few days, and like the Beach Boys once sang, "it don't rain in California, it pours."

Spacewalker

Reading this thread has inspired me to get my framed up Spacewalker down and finish it. I already have the engine for it. The model was originally going to have a Supertigre 3000, but I'm going to put a O.S. FF240 Pegasus on instead. According to the plans,I'll need to cut the firewall off and shorten the firewall by 7/16"

Great choice for an engine.

That sucker would really purr W/a CDI system.

Easy to cut back the engine box.

together it's a big one!

Finally got bot wing-halfes done. wing is fastened with 6mm nylon screws.
right wing is 2mm longer then left!? So be it!
Don't understand why, measured and measured, and ......m

Ailerons still waiting for action - have to approach them slowly..........

Starting to look at the tail feathers also.

/krokko

(read another thread on the SW were the builder regretted not giving firewall down and right thrust, he used a DA50 and realized that it was a little bit too much).

Looks good, krokko.

Don't overthink the right and down thrust issue. You can always add it after your maiden flight, if you feel that it's needed. All you'd need to do is add shims behind the motor mount.
