battery in a transmitter question

i'm tired of replacing transmitter batteries so i want to use either a lipo or nimh pack to replace the usual 8x 'AA' batteries but im unsure which to use ?

if i go nimh or lipo, it will around 3000 or 4000mah

its a radiolink 4ch, 2.4ghz transmitter

That is a lot of Miliamps for a radio. Just make sure the voltages are correct you won't have trouble with the Nickle batteries. You will want to stay under 12 volts. I would look for a Transmitter lipo pack

thats what i was thinking of getting

i have 2 transmitters that need 8x 'AA' batteries, so both being 12v a 3s lipo, 4000mah should do

Oh ya you will only have to charge it once a year if the battery is that big

The more mah the better, but it has to fit in the TX. Also remember that lipos need to stay above 3.7v a cell so you should always check the TX battery.
