Just wanted to revive this thread.
Samba model just came out with a newer fuse design as the standard fuse that will be coming with the model now. It's a bit shorter and lighter, and the pushrods have an interesting design to snake its way through the new fuse.
Here are some stats on it (this one is the lightest layup I could order for them to make) :
Wing : 501g each (17.670z)
Fuse : 301g (10.6oz)
Tails : 28g each (1oz)
Joiner : 113.4 (4 oz)
So, let me see, if I add the following with some rounding up :
Battery : 102g (3.6oz)
4 HV 6625's : 118g with trays (4.2oz)
2 6125EHV : 42.42g (1.5oz)
Receiver : 8.9g (0.31oz)
Misc wiring : 6g (0.2oz)
So, without any additional weight in the nose for the balance, it should weigh in at about 1752g = 61.8oz
Holy moley...It'll probably need an ounce or two in the nose, so I should be looking at a 63oz plane...
I'm looking forward to putting it together and seeing how she flies!!!

Hi Tim, Planet Soaring had a good review of the fuse and pictures of how he had assembled the new fuse with the radio equipment. You may want to review it. I saw it on FB just a day or 2 ago. He also mentions how much nose weight, I think it was 103 grams of lead in the nose to get to his CG. He also states that the tail section is the same length, only the nose is shorter.
