amazing work, subbed

would love to hear how the vvrc40 goes in her, have a very similar build going as well and looking at what powerplant to use, tossing up between the vvrc40 (which i have one of in a pilot extra 30cc) and the OS GF40

Thanks!

I would love to do the GF 40…but I just couldn't do the price even with the tower discounts. The VVRC won't sound as nice...but it fits well (already fitted it in this model) and the one I have on my 3DHS 74" Edge is running really well.

If I were choosing between the OS and the VVRC and I could afford it...I would do the OS for the Stinson.

Hey, when are you going to do some more building on this thing? I guess you could ask the same of me, but I have an excuse... TO MUCH OT AT WORK! Okay, your turn. What's your excuse?

LOL! Let's see:

The wife is having our second baby in 3 weeks or so.

Work is understaffed and time out of town is on the up tick.

I have another build for a friend I need to get done.

I have been enjoying burning through a ton of gas, nitro, and even electrons when I do get some time.

He he...

All understandable mate, I think we are all in the same boat

Will have to see what the OS is like before i decide as I don't want to cut the cowl too much to fit and also I have to be aware of Aussy heat and 4 stroke petrols

I didn't even think of the heat being an issue...never had a gasoline 4 stroke...that's a good point. It's a pretty big motor too...

I'll give the VVRC one thing...it fits with no issues (at least the 1/4 inch canted plug version) or cowl cutting required!
