Cox Cessna look a like convert to rc?

I was just getting a plane ready to send my little boy out of state. It is a free flight cox electric plane. Cahrges from 4 flash light batteries into what I guess is a nicad of some sort.
This thing glides like crazy! It has a 21.5" wingspan and a 3" chord. Tail dragger landing gear. Looks verry well made. And is really light. I wonder how hard it would be to convert to rc. Cost me $15.00 at Wally World. Similer to Viper? It is called a Sky Cruiser.

I've done it, it's not hard to convert at all. You will need to add dihedral to the wing. You'll also need to stiffen the wing. But other than that it's pretty straight forward. Use a GWS direct drive, GWS RX, and Pico servos you'll be good to go.

I used 7 cells of 2/3 AAA 220's from todds models, they make 370's of the same size now. It flew well once I got the wings stiffer. It was a bit touch on the controls but once you got used to it is was O.K. Nothing spectacular, but nice with an 18'' wingspan.

We must be talking about a diferent plane.

The one I have been talking about is a 21 inch wingspan. It has a plastic stiffner on the bottom of the wing.

Almost lost this one out of site!

Went to the field to fly my moth and took along the little cox Cessna look alike. Charged it up and tossed it into the air. Clim was a good 25-30 degrees! Went up in a gentle left hand turn. By the time it landed it was a good 1/2 mile away!
I had a similar flight earlier the same day. The stock drive system works pretty good for a $15.00 airplane!
I realise now I cannot send it to my kid out in California because he would only get one flight before it was gone!
Has to make a good rc flyer!
