Optical RPM Sensor Mounting Challenge

Want to mount/glue on DA-85 Hall Effect pickup housing. I want to sense back of black/white prop spinner plate for RPM logging.

What glue or attachment method works in high vibration with little surface to grip, Zip ties will not fit securely.

DA ignition sensor housing is red plastic material. Will ATV Red silicone sealant hold it? Anyone have success or other location to sense prop rpm hub or spinner surface?

My 2 cents.
1) I'd switch to the magnetic RPM sensor. If the red housing really is some kind of hall effect sensor, then there probably is some kind of magnet on the rotating prop hub it could read.
2) I'd take advantage of that screw that shows up in you picture. Make a sensor bracket with some brass sheet and square tubing that the screw holds in place. Should work for either sensor.

I'd make a little braket and attach it to that screw.

Here's what I did with a hall effect sensor:
