Tug Fest

Congratulations to CapnTroy, as he got Top Skipper (best of show), at Tug Fest. Using his new, yet unfinished and untested, twin screw, Truckable Towboat.

This photo (and the graphics) was shot/done, by Craig_C, of the SFMYC. It shows Troy and I, on our "Team Tow" run. My single screw, is lead tug, while Troy's twin, is trailing. You use your more powerful, and more maneuverable tug, as the trailing tug. This way he can help with braking, and steering. CB

Kap and PTman

A friend of ours, bought the last boxed up kit, at Tug Fest. We may be able to assemble one more, then we are going to have to do another run of parts, as the entire first run will have been sold. Another friend, even bought the last loose hull we had. PTman, I will check with Troy as to where we are on parts, and one of us will PM you.

Great little Springer Stand you have there! Could you post a sketch so some of us could render the sincerest form of flattery through imitation of your stand?

Thanks Pete. I don't have any drawings because I winged it. Buy here are a couple of photos. Basically all plywood with veneer edge banding to hide end grain. More pictures here.

Thanks for that! I really like the little side pieces to keep it from wandering from side to side, and they give kind of a "Deco" feel to the stand, as well as partially hiding the extreme curve of the bottom.pete G.

A BARGE, for the TRUCKABLE

I have had some delays in prepping the master, but, after several requests, we are going to do a barge hull. The same hull as the one I made my work barge out of. Approx size: 24'' long, 8'' wide, and 2'' deep. Here is a photo of my, semi finished barge. We will let you know more, when the mold is done. Thanks, CB
