Thanks for the kind remarks Simon, much appreciated. Not much done lately,Im still having physio following what I thought at the time was a mild case of whiplash- some fool ran into my car a while ago.Still at bit movement restricted, but shouldn't be long now.
What do you have there, two for the price of one?

Been a while since I posted anything. To cut a long story short I've had a bad few months health wise, the basic result of which is clambering up hills is not an option,at least for a while.
So-bungee launching a plank? It's going to be difficult at this stage to set a hard point into the fuselage,so hooks in the wings look like the way to go.I'd appreciate any advice as to placement/hard point and set up of the bungee itself.

Hi Stuart - very sorry to hear about your health issues - trust that you will feel better soon.

Kent used the wing hooks and bridle on his number two plank - I'm sure he can offer some useful advice -

All my best wishes - Herk

for wing mount tow hooks I like the idea of attaching them to the spar as long as they can be placed in front of the CG. The bridle with a slider worked well. If you are unfamiliar with bungee launches, start with low force on the line.

BTW, I'm heading out to Big Sur this morning to bungee launch the SW-2. Most weekends I'll run into Yoshi somewhere on the mountain. She is an 83 year old woman who hikes that 600m mountain regularly "to keep up with her grand children when they ask her to back packing". She is showing no sign of slowing down. Funny thing, there are a lot of health nuts out there in Big Sur.

oThanks Kent. Now I feel like a proper wimp
I'll set some wood blocks just in front of the spar, which should be forward enough. http://static.rcgroups.net/forums/at...926.602125.jpg
Looking at that, how far from the centre line would you place them?
I'd also appreciate sketches/pics of the hooks used, length of bridle, rubber and cord, also type and dimensions of the bungee itself.
Thanks Stuart

Ha, ha, ha.......well as long as it's proper, it's a good thing.

Yoshi is an inspiration to me and I thought to you as well. Today I ran into a 76 year old on top of the mountain and he too knew Yoshi. She is something of a local legend. It's one thing to be active when you're 83, it's quite another to climb a mountain every week.

Hope you are feeling better.
