Thanks for the replys guys.
I'll run them in the jet to cycle the packs at 3C+.
Might as well blow the dust out of the garage at the same time!

Im considering the 7s 5800 zippy compact packs to be used in a 14s configuration, but I cant find any info on that specific cell size. Anyone in here heard anything, or even better, tried them your self?

Looking forward to hearing some real world results. I am looking at the 6S 3300/3700mah Zippy compacts if they do hold up well over time, the weight savings would really help in my heli on a 12S set up.

Hi Gary -

They will go into the EF Edge as am on a 3s setup - also will go into a ST models MX2 that my son flies - will see how they will work out on the P51D as it cooks batteries when I put this thing around 100mph (Yup its that fast ) or Katana Mini when fully repaired...

Will need some 4/5s so if these are good may be an answer for when the 60 MXS finally comes available...

Just received my Zippy Compact 6S 4500mah 35C.
All cells were at 3.84 or 3.85.
With 6mm gold bullets and a antispark cable it weighs 683 grams.
Donīt have anything to compare the weight with.

Will use it in my HTG L-39 90mm EDF. I hope it will hold up, otherwise I will regret not buying brand lipo afterall

Why do they use 8 AWG cables, pain in the a** to solder. 10 AWG is enough.

8 gauge as they can deliver 157 amps constant. Think about it...

Curious as how these hold up, I am looking at some 6S 3300mah sized packs for my 12S Heli set up.

Could you test the IR of each cell or do you have the ability to do so?

Ace hardware stores sell an 80 watt soldering iron with a 3/8" chisel tip for around 30 bucks. I t will make all your large soldering jobs a breeze. The key is not the watts but the big fat tip, it holds all the heat than dumps it all on your part in an instant. A smaller tip will just slowly transfer heat to what you are trying to solder and never get the joint itself hot enough. I used the tool for soldering battery bars an 2600mah A1213 cells and it worked great. I was able to tin the cells with globs of solder and the tool was on and off the cell in less than a second, with no heat transfer to the cell. I wouldn't think of using anything else but that for #8 wire.
