A.I. Pietsukh’s PAI-67

The A.I. Pietsukh’s PAI-67 is interesting and unusual configuration.

If you the look at the drawings (assuming they are accurate) the fore wing appears have less angle of incidence than both the main wing and rear horizontal stabilizer. Both of which appear to have the same angle of incidence. This goes against my understanding that a stable tandem wig configuration where the fore wing should be the higher loaded wing.

The rear horizontal stabilizer is set much lower than most ram wing and lippisch reverse delta wigs...but the elevator is huge. I wonder whether the horizontal stability was controlled by the trim of front water prop drive and/or hydrofoil.

The main aft wing planform also very interesting. It could almost be considered a Double Delta Wing Bixel with anhedral.

qxev, I thought Holden at homebuilt airplanes.com, Paul Weston Sea-Era thread told you the craft in these exact pictures you posted would not work IGE. He seems pretty qualified to know what he is talking about.
He mentioned the AC remains close to the Center of Area on the delta whereas rectangular or square wings AC moves back from 25% to 50% (center of area) IGE causing a negative pitching moment.

I tried something similar it only worked with flat airfoils, with camber and drooped LE, like slats it flies like an airplane, would not remain IGE.

Delta-2 Lippisch-type ground effect glider

Gabriel,

I was watching your video of your “Delta-2 Lippisch-type ground effect glider" you posted last year in the thread. It appears really stable. Does your glider have flat or cambered airfoil? What is angle of incidence of the reverse delta main wing? What was the weight?
