F104 for 40mm

As I now have a 40mm mad thrust fan I can have this build in the micro edf section .Its been sitting around for some time. But Pdawg made me buy a new 40mm fan so I deside to slap this together. The kit is a old Steve jets F-104. I own the molds for it so I can make more when needed

That's a really sweet F-104 you have there. Good luck with the build.

Good luck, you might give me the motivation to get mine in the air. How do you plan on doing the tail linkage?

You should Dan..you have way too much work into yours...Tail is pretty easy ...servo is in the tail pipe just below the vert. with a direct shot up to the stab.Pivot is forward of the control link.I will post some pics later

I will post the fan numbers as soon as I can...I have to get the esc still..maybe this weekend for bench numbers..The intake ducts are now in the jet .I just need to make the adapter from the rear of the ducts to the fan. Then I can get installed numbers. I am curious as the ducts are very long. But they are over size as they were designed for a 50mm fan in the orig set up

Nice bird, good luck on the project, would probably go pretty well on something like a great planes 55mm hyperflow fan and 500watts, not sure about a 40mm though? Maybe scale performance, anyway will be interesting to see a mini composite F104

Considering its close to the size of Pdawgs electrolite I think it will go pretty good. the 50mm fan is a tight fit so I dont know if 55 would fit

Hi Kevin,
No just real old west system hardener..Turns brown with age. After I get the first one set up I will lay up a few for sale. Intakes are done and the fan is mounted. next the wings and aileron servos.

Safety Poxy also turns brown with age, hence the question...Looks REAL good!!!...Please PM me when you have the parts available as I seem to miss out on the first and sometimes only run of parts...
