A bungee works great for me at the moment, but I still want to get to a stage where I can hand launch reliably. I'm using the RVOSD and hope to be able have things to where I can just throw the plane and have it fly its self into the air in RTH or FBW mode.

I was thinking for the guys who want to go really fast and do after market mods to your plane

like non stock wing spars etc.

creating as little drag will help at supersonic speeds

I also wonder why the guys who try to go super sonic speeds in dives etc, put on the gopro and "big box" to hold it as well as that does really create drag at fast speeds

cool plane and love all the videos and pics, expecially the library of all the wings you made in the past

This is not a sloper!!!
This thing is a beast and has a crazy power to weight ratio.
Fast and heavy makes these thing rail.

My latest vid. 3S batteries were too slow. Here's a pair of 4s on a 9x6 prop.
Thanks for the help Chris.. I'm very happy with this configuration.

Nice launcher. What is that pole on the right side of the "landing strip"?

I would be afraid of hitting it if I missed the runway.

Hi guys, i'm like seeing all the awesome pictures of everyones planes. Cool ideas. The fourmation video is way cool.
I finaly put the gopro on mine and did a test run. Everything checked out good. Motor and esc are working well. Just over 440watts. (Not ment for fast flying)

Gopro test run.

LOL, well when you start flying at spersonic speeds then I will make wipers for you and servo cowlings.

If you are wanting stronger spars then co CF, or solid CF , then go with heavier lam, its not hard!!

Even a little weave over the spars will be a good surface tension adder.

Its more about the entire build system rather then just adding stiffer spars.

now you are talking

I also find it funny guys try to make your plane really fast and use nano tec second batteries that are rated for such a low c rate

i did lots of experimenting with aerodynamocs and batteries with fast planes

great like really nice good batteries that are 3 cell out perform 4 cell nano tec bats., nano just crap out with high watts while good bats. keep on going

it would be cool to see someone build one of your planes that is specifically built for speed as you explain

undestructable in the air, and supper aerodynamic

building planes that are designed to withstand a crash is just not in my books or many others

the idea is to keep a plane as light and areodynamic as possable and that makes it fastest

crash resistance is for guys that cant fly or need to learn to fly

the gopro is for aerial photograhy and nothing else
very detrimental to fast speeds as is obvious

I for one am not into makeing videos but fast planes, faster the better

but more important ones that fly well even at slow speeds because of aerodynamics

lol its not a joke because I laugh at how slow some guys build your planes to fly

some guys are literally pushing a brick through the air

one day someone will build a plane like yours that is desighned for high speed and high performance

In this vid they saw 170 mph at 7 mins in , one of these was mine in the past and it went 215 mph at one speed event.
A police officer was using his radar.
Rite wing demon goes 170mph (7 min 58 sec)

We have gone faster , but these will show you the sky that gets cosumed.

Question on mounting the go pro hero2. I notice the coreflute box has an opening for the small round fitting on the camera, between the control push button and the "Hero 2" logo. I was hoping to strap either a cable tie or a fabric strap over this small round fitting but I suspect it is some sort of sensor that the camera uses.

What are the implications of either partially or fully covering this small round fitting?

What was the setup on that fast wing? motor / esc / battery / prop?

Amazing job man! I know a lot of guys at GoPro and they're good ol boys. I started FPV with a bixler and cant wait to order up a ritewing. You sold me, and i would rather buy something american made then some cheap chinese model that you have to do lots of mods too.

Keep it up, really enjoyed the videos.

Cheers
