I had forgotten the canopy length. Thought it was 16" or so. Measured it yesterday in preparation for building a plug. It's 21" long!!!!

Hey John

I just saw your photo with the F 16 fuselage standing on the nose..Nice work.., but,.. since your shop is about as messy as mine, how come I can't build nice models like yours LOL

I was looking through some old files this afternoon that were in manilla folders and I couldn't find a clear spot to put them down..

Now come on Jerry. You're right on one count. Our shops are equally messy but you build beautiful planes.
I have the same problem. I have those big plans cut out and have to drape them over the scroll saw and on top of motors and props. Haven't a flat place in the shop that isn't full of crap.
In the pic you can see the side view of the plan laying on motor boxes and props on the back counter. Hard to see but behind the starboard wing of the 141% F-16 the top view of the plan is laying over the back of the scroll saw. This is only because there is no more room to put anything. Yet, Fedex and UPS arrive all the time. More crap coming in, nothing going out. I'm pathetic.

Back on the job. Making a canopy mold and skinning on the bottom.
I built a batt box for the 4s-5000 in the nose.
Need a good stout handhold for the hand launch. Got started on that.
More progress later.

J, how much problems, if any, do you anticipate because of the really long wire runs with the battery all the way forward and a pusher motor setup.

No problems at all. The esc will be up close to the battery. Long motor wires don't give problems, long batt/esc wires can kill a bird.

Hi Han's

I pulled the F-18 down from the rafters and blew the dust of her. I will be sure to bring it with me to the next Ace in Hole and I look forward to flying formation with you again with your new F-16!!!

A little history..The year befor last in Vegas Hans and I got to fly formation with John's other F-16 and my F-18..it was great and we had a blast!!..We had such a great time. Just when Han's and I were really getting the hang of it and about to go up again for another flight all of a sudden a giant wind storm blew into Las Vegas and blew the whole flight line out..We never got to fly again since..Well next year will be differant..

Thanks for building this F-16 John..I look forward to a redemption formation flight with Han's.

Yep, Woody, another road trip. I just picked up my new wheels, I'll have Han's riding in style this year.

I remember that windstorm. Damn, we held onto the tents for about 15 min just to keep them from blowing away.... and they were tied to that chain link fence!
