The only difference in them is the length of the motorbox. At least on my 72 Extra, anyway. You could buy a gas motorbox and swap them out.

That is not the only difference on a slick.

From what I understand the cowl and canopy are different sizes. I don't know how that impacts the motor box. I think you might be right about a gas motor box fitting in there but make sure you get confirmation that it will actually work.

have a friend do an elec to gas conversion on a 71" slick. motorbox, cowl and canopy are different everything else is same.

My point with golf is that you pay big green fees and all you have is a memory of it. I usually come home with complete planes and one golf trip could buy a couple planes and you have nothing to show for it... not to mention all the equipment and clothes you need for it. Anyway... I think at the stage of the the hobby I am in planes are cheaper than golf... I wouldn't mind if I had the budget to make my hobby more expensive than golf lol.

Their both quite pricey, that's for sure!!
