Aeronca Champ

My all time favorite civilian airplane. 50" wingspan depron, MPF wings will have Jeddelsky airfoil which I'm having great success with.

I like Piper Cubs, but I like the Champ more because people don't seem to model it and when one shows up , it stands out. Porterfield Collegate is another you don't see any of, I always liked something a little different than everybody else. Looks like you got another winner there, good job. Did you get the other projects done also?

I agree whole heartily the Cub is overdone. BTW I have a nice set of plans for the Collegate.

I maiden a prototype semi profile 50" Seabee flies fantastic. Did this while waiting for snow to melt also did another Seabee with a wider body, I need to maiden the DH2 and a 50" Sopwith Pup the bigger Pup would not fit in trunk and awkward to put in back seat.
Snow melting pretty good now and but wanted the Champ as well for touch n go .

So this flying season I will have 4 planes to fly

50" Sopwith Pup
50' DH2
50" Seabee
50" Aeronca Champ

Should keep me flying for a while !!

Super Champ!!

Looking good!
Here is my Super Champ. 56" WS with DT foam board. This was the first tail dragger I ever built so didn't want to go the whole mile with paint etc. Flew quite well, as seen in the video but needed a lot of rudder to get the tail around during turns - something that was new to me! Also, during one of the landings I learnt why more than 2 blades is not a good idea on tail draggers Now I have a 11x5.5 that seems to work quite well. Here's the vid:
