what is the best micro rc helicopter for 40 buck or under? I prefer a single rotor heli cuz I own a Honey Bee Fp v2 lol. I hate coax

As a proud 9958 owner I regret to say probably the v911 for most people. It is more stable, for most people has less problems, and has a cooler stock TX. However I still believe the 9958 is more challenging to fly and teaches tighter control response if that's your thing (PI's TBE can only be noticed in a hands off hover, not in FFF). Either way this is the edge of the black hole, you'll be planning out your next 10 micros in short order if my experience and seemingly everyone else's holds true

I agree with last post as I fly both. V911 is hard to beat but 9958 is a bird to also consider. 9958 is built stronger and uses 150ma battery. V911 uses 120ma battery. No screen on 9958 TX and you need more skill to fly it but learn more.

I have plenty skill to from flying the hbfp v2. I'm only wanting a micro so I can just fly indoors because its windy in my area right now.

Being you have so much experience get a 6ch. mico. Mini CP/Solo-pro125/ FBL Walkers Gen. F/P. MQX/Ladybug quads. WL toys just came out with clone quads. 9958 on hi rates indoors will be quick/ Solo-pro 260A also on hi-rates very quick. Several fine mico's from Walkera/ Solo-pro 180D. Solo-pro 100D. all 6 ch. 3D mico's. Tamer 4 ch F/P V911/ Align T-rex 100X fine birds. H995 revamped 9958Xieda. Under $40.00

I also agree, but want to point out that the new 9958 Tx have a screen. Also with the typical, cheap mods using Blade parts, the 9958 screams and turns like crazy!
It now flys a lot like my V200D01 FBL that I am having trouble learning, but without the time/cost penalty I have when I crash it.
i.e. it is going to help me learn to fly more difficult helis - the V911 really doesn't. Yes I've flown both....

I have to disagree here. I own both and I've broken more on my 9958 in one day than I've broken on my V911 in 6 months.

I would say the majority of owners of both the 9958 and V911 would agree that the V911 is alot more robust.

v911 isnt slow , put it on full rates and then come back

The V911 has a 45° offset flybar with Bell linkage; nice response but damped movement. The 9958 has a 45° offset head with Bell-Hiller linkage which should smooth response without damping. The idiots who copied the MSR didn't understand what they were copying and used a flybar with weights. It should have a flybar with paddles. If you swap to an mSR flybar it really wakes up the 9958 performance. All things being equal, the 9958 has a much bigger performance window than the V911, but will suffer from some pendulum effect when stopping, since it lacks the V911 damping.

You need to keep these things in perspective, too. Compared to an HBFP or flybarless heli, these helis are very tame. Somebody with experience, just looking for a recreational indoor flyer, has lots of choices; not just beginner's choices. Asking which one is best is like asking how high is up?

I'm teasing a bit, but that is the only rate I've flown it on and the 9958 is faster outside.

Been almost 3 months and every single piece of my 9958 is still original, the blades are a little chewed up but it also crashes into concrete, pavement, metal, and myself fairly often so can't really fault manufacturing for that. Out of curiosity which did you own first?
