I have a question regarding the wiring of the 400A sensor. I am not intending to use the limiter function but also have the brushless rpm sensor I want to use.
Do I need to connect the black wire from the 400A sensor to the negative of the main battery or not?
I have a Kontronik Jive 100LV ESC, Kontronik FAI10 motor & a 3s Battery. I'm also running a small Rx battery in parallel with the BEC in the Jive ESC.

If your ESC has a BEC (and the Jive has a superb one) there is no need to connect the black wire because the BEC will power the Unilog and not the Ampssensor.

Is the rx getting power through the unilog? On mine, I have the rx opto isolated from the unilog, and the rx pack powering the rx directly. I recently had the same question and was told to have the esc bec power the unilog, and to absolutely not wire the big black one from the shunt to the flight pack... though I am using castle ice series escs.
Hope this helps!
