Thanks nitrodude71, the only thing wrong with that is my application needs 3.3v out and that provides 5.8v or 5.1v.
I am going to be using a DX5e DSM2 transmitter module mounted in a regular 9x module. The module from the cheapie BNF controllers may work with the 3.3 off of the 9x board, but the DX4/5e module may draw too much power and cause brownout resetting. I have an LM317 and the components to make a voltage regulator, but a BEC/EBEC is a simpler and cleaner installation. You have to er9x flashed on your radio; it not only changes the channel order to match DSM2, it also has the code to send out DSM2 compatible signals. I used a cheap USB programmer at first and then s_mack gave me a Smartie parts board (thanks again!!!) and that makes life a whole lot easier. http://www.hacksmods.com/2011/12/spe...e-from-hp6dsm/ http://9xforums.com/wiki/index.php/H...e_DSM_protocol http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1691703 |
