Normal motor size would be 6mm but some are still 3mm and some are 8mm. That is why the inserts like APC uses and your 3 blade props use are such a great idea!
While on this subject, why not update the hub on the SlowFly props also? The small hub there makes it very difficult if not impossible to use with anything besides the threaded 3mm shafts of the gear drive units. I realize that the props were designed to be used with those but there are many people that use them on other motors because they love how the SlowFly props work! |

Never tried the props but have used just about all others an APC seems to be the best of them.. I am glad to run across this post today as I was searching for a better prop that could compare to APC. I am going to get a few an see how they perform... APC needs some competition.

There is another sucessful example:
SkyArttech making a lot of small size toy RTF airplanes. Their 4.25" propeller only give 50g thrust. Very difficult to fly their 120g little Cessna. After change with GWS EP4530, they get very happy result! In case that you have such similar samll RTFs, don't forget to try with GWS small propellers! ![]()

Who is flying 400 size airplanes?
Here is some reference for you to see why a toy is different to hobby products?
The first line 8X6 is a propeller which toy maker copy APC 8X6 prop, toy makers thinking they made their smart choice to save their budget. But if you see the performance as below, I guess that you will rather change with GWS props. ![]() |

However, for small airplanes, GWS had many great choice for example:

If it's not to difficult would someone post some pictures of these HD props. I am familiar with the slofly props that come in the kits have bought. Which is what the LHS (use to) have, but I hear reference (on other threads) to these HD props but have never seen any. Do they have a higher RPM limit?
I rewind motors and am always on the look out for different props to increase my test prop inventory for motor testing. |
