fuselage for Trex 450 PRO ?

Can anyone tell me if there are any Fuselages that will fit a Trex 450 Pro using torque tube and DFC head? I am willing to sacrife the DFC head to a normal head if needed, but have to use Pro Frame. Thanks.

Just about any MD500 kit will work. The issue of the head is that the shaft is much shorter than normal and it may lead to a boom strike on a rough landing. It may not hit the boom but it might clip the doghouse. A standard 2 blade head and shaft will give you good clearance to any model you place the chassis in. The Agusta A109 will work but you need to either move the battery forward so it lets the canopy close, or modify the frame by cutting some of it out. It's not a tough thing to do and frames are not expensive if you want to remove it and go back. I can't promise that the AS350 will be as good a fit as the MD500 but it looks like there is enough room for the chassis and battery mount as is. Most 450 bodies are built to take the belt driven SEV2 version (and prior) of the Align 450 however with some careful planning, these three should work without too much trouble. I fitted my 450Pro into an A109 body so that is why I know that with moving the battery forward, it will work. Others have installed them in the MD500 but I can't confirm a Pro going in the AS350. All other raised tail 450 helicopters that I have seen are belt driven so stuff like the BO105, Huey, and EC145, are out. Hope this helps.

I have seen guys install Pro mechanics in any and every type of fuselage out there no matter if it has a raised tail or not.
What it all comes down to is how good your building skills are , on Pro mechanics with raised tails I have seen many guys eather make their own TT raised tail or use off the shelf items.
If I can put a 450 airframe in a 500 size EC-145 and make it work reliablely than any thing should be possible.
