1:12 scale foam built up B-29
After a trip to the air museum in Ohio, I decided to start a new project about two weeks ago. I jumped in head over heels with this one and am really putting some time and effort in this one. It will be powered by four electric motors, and spin four 14" four bladed props.
I ordered my landing gear yesterday, it will have retracts, gear doors, bomb bays, and maybe flaps. Looking at powering it with four 4cell 3000's, as of right now that is.
I've got a long way to go, but boy am I excited.
The wings will be hot wire cut (if I can figure out a cutter able to run a 70" wire) I'm looking at a 148" wingspan on this bad boy, making it the biggest plane at my field.
oh and as it sits now, it tips the scale at 2.2lbs. I'm sure it's going to jump drasticly by the end of the weekend, but I'm trying to keep it as light as i can.
