Hi

I haven't had a problem with breaking the gear on my Pitts yet I mainly fly off of grass this is why I don't have this problem. I am liking the Nano Tech 300's they really have some punch and give me good flight time

Thanks
Scott

I use them as well bad. Great wee battery. I have reinfoced my LG. Here is a couple of pics. I have used the foam like a shock absorber. If it breaks again I will go for CF rods and lite wheels.

For the minis the 300 nanos are pretty much the right match. That's all I have for mine and they do get a workout.

I have not had a problem with the gear yet. I fly over grass and also over astro turf at our indoor venue. I usually try to drop it in softly from a harrier position and so far that has worked pretty well. Thanks for all the kind comments guys they are much appreciated. We are flying indoors tomorrow night and I will try to get some video of that.

Some mini pitts action, not flown her for what seems like an age, but good weather, light winds, meant a session in the park.

Nice video Jimbo, shocking how much your flying has improved.

Love Amy Lee too, she's got a unmistakable voice.

I have been lurking around this thread a while and have decided I have to have one of these. Whats a good motor/prop combo from hobbyking? I just cant bring myself to spend the extra $80+ on the power pack!

On these minis the lesson most learn is they'll spend at least $80 trying different cheap motor/esc/servo combos that underperform vs ones TH sells and still not have the same performance or service if and when any issues pop up.

I'm all about the hobbyking batteries though as for the price there is nothing close:

This one for long smooth flights:

This one for 3 minutes of EXPLOSIVE power:

I tried the Dual sky off the CYM on the Pitts. Performance was far too relaxed for my liking. I kept it on for a while and hardly flew the model.
I then changed the motor to a hobbyking motor/esc combo with 48W output. The Pitts was transformed! I use the 300ma 2s batteries. Fun factor is certainly dependant on output power on this model, it really likes more power!

The 16g motor from HK seems like a good choice. Think it's the 2204 or 2402 can't remember. I've run both TH and T-motor 14g motors on mine and like them. Can't beat the nanotechs for a battery choice that's for sure. Like to give the higher c rating ones a try someday.

Your own design, plan to share what it looks like?

Your fine wish that's about what mine came out to be, weight wise. Scale only goes to 100 grams, guess I should get another.
Got her done and flying. Not too bad except for wing rock at stall speeds.
Will follow up later on a new thread.
