Spidex micro

I am very happy to announce the release of new Spidex micro airframe.

The goal was a simple and durable frame with position for each component.
Basically a smaller version of our popular Spidex frame. Designed specialy for
Mobius HD camera it can fit a second analog FPV camera to avoid latency of
digital cameras.

The only material used for all frame is POM-C, it is a fantastic material, very
resistant and near indestructible in our short experience.
All frame is CNC machined

Components:
Motors: Multistar 1704-1900Kv
Prop: 5x3 GemFan
ESC: Blueseries 12amp SimonK
Battery: 3S 1000mah
HD Camera: Mobius Action Camera
Video Transmitter: ImmersionRC 600mw Video Transmitter

Hi,

I am a proud owner of one of the first micros from quaternium.

http://quaternium.es/es/frames/71-spidex-micro.html

This little multi flies superb!, it weigh less than 400 grm with mobius and battery on and is able of any kind of maneuver bigger multis do.

I already published a video recorded with this frame and a blue sky one:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2033689

I love this frame as it is almost indestructible with a flying crash, it has not screws because it is assembled with interlocking parts which makes it almost ready to fly in less than one hour.

I left you here a photo of the first tests with the mobius as a fpv camera, it should be avoided due to very limited FOV and a small delay in the image.

It is better to use a dedicated fpv camera.

Flying time is up to 8 minutes with 1000mAh 3s.

Here is the finished micro with the correct distribution of components.
The base of the micro in mine is upside-down to fit the rcx motors, the frame is design for the multistar 1704 from HK.

About what did it cost (just in materials, not labor) to build this with all the components? I might look into saving up for one of these depending on the total cost.
Thanks,
Max

QUATERNIUM Crew,
Been watching this since abormor posted the video a while back.
What are your prices and options (US dollars or Euros) on your RTF's on your website? No prices given. Many flyers would like a ready to go package and not have to hunt down all the parts required.

Thank you

Hello,

We are attending now the high demand of SPIDEXmicro frames, but we are considering to sell kits or RTF multicopters in a short time.
