*** Forum Subscriptions - See also image attachments
When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.

Goto: MyRCGroups > Edit Options > Default Thread Subscription Mode > Select...Instant Email Notification.

In addition you can subscribe to the entire VAM Forums with DAILY notification by:
- Go here: http://www.rcgroups.com/valley-aero-modelers-543/
- Click on Forum Tools in the upper right.
- Select "Subscribe to this Forum"
- Select "Daily Notification"
- OK

*** Creating an Avatar
Open the photo on your PC in MS Paint, or similar software. Crop the pic to what you want to show. Use stretch feature to reduce the pic by a percentage until you can click on Attributes and it says 75 pixels by 75 pixels, or whatever. Save the pic. Then you can upload it to your avatar.

*** Signature Settings Alternative
One tip to help everyone out and save the hassle of signing your name to each post is to enter text in your RCGroup profile settings. You can do this by going to "MyRCGroups" in the upper left. Click on "Edit Your Details" and then "Custom User Title". This text will always show up below your username and above the avatar. If you're logged in, this might get you there: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/profi...do=editprofile RCGroups changed their policy and removed the automatic signature feature years ago because it was being abused with advertisements.

*** Photo Sharing
For posting a few small photos or other supported files, you can attach them to your post. Scroll down in the Additional Options box while creating a new post or replying to an old thread. Click on the Manage Attachments button and follow the instructions.

For all of you shutterbugs with a lot of photos to share I am in the process of setting up a group flickr.com account. Sign up for a free account and upload your photos to your personal account.
