Things are still coming along slowly. Still waiting for some more 6oz glass before I can lay up a fuse.
The canopy inserts came out ok. I had a bit of a nightmare this afternoon sheeting wings. I spent forever chasing leaks in vac bags In the end I just chucked the wings into a bin bag and sealed it up with no-more-gaps. Worked great.

I now use the heavy duty drop sheet plastic (ex. Bunnings) and acrylic grout (No-more -gaps) from a grout gun to make up disposable vacuum bags too! I don't worry about skin fittings for the vac line. I just grout around a piece of vinyl tube where it goes into the bag and use a piece of breather over the end. It conforms well and does not seem to leak. I will not bother with anything fancier in the future. Jim. |
