Problem solved. A light wet sanding with some really fine paper followed by a good polishing with brasso. Now I'm happy.

Now to lay up the inserts for the canopy lip..........

I knew it would be easy ( for you).

It's gonna be a fun build!

I just laid up the canopy inserts, a canopy, and some wing skins.

If you look closely at the pic you can see the canopy outline through the wet glass. It's scribed into the moulds. I scribed around the edges of the canopy I laid up earlier. I also scribed the canopy mould. It will give me trim lines on the parts pulled from the moulds.

Yes It's an LEG kit. Sad to say I may not be able to get more. But I did get an F-86 I can still build.I hope that Jack will come back.But I am not sure that will happen

Hey Rubio
If you decide to go with the Duchess Arlene, go totally red on the bottom.
That way you have better visibility, and can tell the top from the bottom.
Unless your eyesight is not failing like mine.

I had a bit of a nightmare this afternoon sheeting wings. I spent forever chasing leaks in vac bags In the end I just chucked the wings into a bin bag and sealed it up with no-more-gaps. Worked great.

I now use the heavy duty drop sheet plastic (ex. Bunnings) and acrylic grout (No-more -gaps) from a grout gun to make up disposable vacuum bags too!
I don't worry about skin fittings for the vac line. I just grout around a piece of vinyl tube where it goes into the bag and use a piece of breather over the end.
It conforms well and does not seem to leak. I will not bother with anything fancier in the future.
