Tiger Moth Wings
I don't know if I'm the village idiot or what
I'm building a tiger moth, probably the 20th plane
I've built. The description of how to tape these
so the dihedral is ok is horrible. When I look at
the finished pictures of others it doesn't look
like there's tape all over them like the instructions
would have you do.

most of us TM flyers dont tape the wings we use epoxi and glue them.
for bottom wing lay it on flat table and take some books or cd's and shim up one wing till its 80mm hight then put some epoxy in the gap you dont have to fill it just enough to hold.
do the same thing for the top wing but this time hold it to the table in the center "use tape or what ever to hold it to table" and shim up both wing tips what was it 38mm or somthing like that for both wings. i may be forgetting the 80mm and 38mm so look it up in directions.
back to the bottom wing you have a plastick part that is kinda like a cover you cut it and glue it to the lower wing it adds suport when the wing hits fusalage. i prefer to use the gws glue on it.
its contact glue so put it on both parts let it dry for around 5 to 10 min till it gets tacky then put them together.
the plastick cover thing realy helps hold the wing dihedral.
if you need any help at all come to the TM threads.
we are on part 15 now
