Yes the .074 was pretty slow. It was to replace the .049 and have a throttle and muffler to keep up with the times I believe. Mine goes pretty good with no muffler, but the muffler really slows it down to unacceptable levels. Better than the T Tiger .07 but not as good as the Norvel .074. Plus it still is a reedy too which doesn't help. I can't get on the link above unless I am an AMA member. That isn't going to happen anytime soon.

I have owned 3 .074's they do swing a bigger prop then the TD .051 weigh in at 123.3g /4.4oz with prop compared to the RC 09 with same muffler and over all size weighs in at 118.3g / 4.23oz with prop. TD .051 RC is 75g . 2.68oz less prop.

I have had no problem getting power out of the motor with 25 and 30% nitro.
I ran one in a boat with 40% nitro and it screamed like a 09. Idle to a purr its I did drill and tap for an exhaust line to pressurize the fuel tank a major plus / must. The QB .074 is ok when you need more weight in the nose and want to swing a bigger prop and of course with the muffler it helps keep the noise down.
