Yes, I figured that I would get several ways to solve a problem. Thats great with me. I've been a trainer of enough subjects to know that there is aways more ways than one to skin a cat. And what works for one may not work for another. So I am always up for hearing different points of view. The way I see it, the more info I can get the better.

So everyone feel free to throw out suggestions.

I have been looking at this plane for quite a time. As I recall the plans call for an electric motor with a gearbox. If I were to build this Cub i would most likely use a BL outrunner and LiPo batteries. What are you planning to use for a power plant and batteries? Thanks, DDOG

The May AMA issue has a couple page aritcle on washout... just about all you want to know. Constant cord wings (four star, etc) can get way with the last one or two rib bays having some which is easy when building.

Not sure what I'll do for power as of yet. I do know if you search, there are a couple of build threads on here. They talk about what motors they were going to use. Sounded like they were both pretty successful.

On a 39" wing with 15" chord, I put a 1/2" spacer block under the trailing edge near the root rib (near the fuselage) then weight the other four corners down on to my build board. The wing was top side down too. I then glued the underside balsa covering onto the wing ribs to hold it fixed. What you want is less angle of incidence out on the tips to help with stall speeds of the outer part of the wing.
