The heat gun helps in shrinking the covering to give a tight appearance but it is the hot iron and the physical contact with covering onto the wood with heat that makes the adhesive on the inside stick and stay in place.

The heat gun by itself won't do that.

It does with a micro fiber towel.

Or heat gun mitt.

What's your point Patrick

That AMA stuff has me annoyed and I'm re-writing contract documents to suite my current needs which is so mind numbing it requires frequent "I gotta think of something else for a few" moments. lol.

How do you guys like the Savox 0255 servos for these planes?

I like them in my planes that I fly in the summer. They don't like the cold winter. Anything above 35-40 deg you are golden just not colder then that. So for you it won't be a problem.

Strong and fast. I can't speak to the long term reliability, as I've recently installed them. I like them though.

Hmm...thinking about switching the HS 70s for the Savox 0255s...don't really have a need to though so I may just keep the HS70s...

The HS-70's seem to be pretty darn solid for me, (use them in my Extra)... but I'm not stressing them out like some others.
But I might suggest just getting the Savox 0255's and keep them in reserve... just in case (just in case you get another 48 EXP)

Got all the HS70s in and shimmed - not my ideal, but it will work.
can you please show pictures of how you shimmed your servos? or how it ended up looking? I'm just afraid of ruinning it. is this done with a dremmel and simply scapping plastic off of it?
