While it's a personal choice to ad ailerons, IMHO it's really not worth the effort, additional expense and extra weight.
When set up properly with the correct amount of down and right thrust, flying on High Rates, with only the V tail control surfaces, you are still able to do tight circles, inside & outside loops, inverted flight and rolls.

Check out this video - Only V tail - (all stunt maneuvers are from the 1/2 way point of the video)

Thanks guys, here's the set up and results

On 4S:
=======
Propeller:
HK 9x5 Folding Prop and Spinner
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=7844

ESC:
Unknown 40 amp

Battery:
4S Zippy Compact 25c (fully charged and balanced)

WOT Static:
250w 17 amps

On 3S:
=======
ZIPPY Flightmax 2800mAh 3S1P 30C (fully charged and balanced)
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._3S1P_30C.html

WOT Static:
145w 12.5 amps

Looking at the stats I think it's just a very inneficient airframe, climbs outs then gliding seems to be the way to go for flight duration, though the sink rate is pretty bad

Not being funny or derogatory but those "stunt manouvres" were more like "flopping around in the air with little control
I know it's "possible" to fly the Eagle adequately with just V-Tail you definately get more control authority with ailerons, it's down to the individuals to decide whether it's worth the effort or not, after all this is not designed as or supposed to be an aerobatic plane, it's for floating around and freaking the birds out , maybe some secret video work too

For me the ailerons allow me to fly in slightly more wind, but it still prefers low wind, it get's beaten up too much in strong gusts

Same here, Dogdude. I myself installed ailerons on my Dancing Wings eagle. I've even programed a on and off ailerons to see the difference between both. -Using rudder for yaw and elevator for pitch.- ( However, I have also straighten the poly-hedral wing tips out and given it about 5 or 6 of dihedral. ) I noticed the handling is more crisp, where as the the tail only control is ..fine. It just depends on the person and their flying preferences.
