Thanks Joel, that is great info, but now you have me in a bit of a pickle. I want to get the new Beast just to have a clean, perfect flying, beast in the hanger, but the new Pitts sounds awesome as well. I was out shooting side slip approaches and cross wind crabs with my UMX Carbon Cub last night and continue to just LOVE that plane also.

Decisions, decisions ... might have to try to convince my wife to let me buy BOTH! LOL

For me it would be the Beast hands down. If my Pitts were totaled I would not replace it. That said, I'm currently flying my Beast number 5! I have 4 boxes with broken up Beasts. In light winds the Beast is just smooth and effortless, I just love that about it. The Pitts just seems to take more work from the pilot to fly well, at least that's the feeling I get.

I agree with Bloosee .... in good weather the Beast just does whatever you tell it to. The pitts feels a lot heavier in the air (because it is) .... I'll always have my Beast, and like Bloosee if I blow up my Pitts beyond all repair it'll go in the trash after I yank out all the electronic bits.

The reason why the Beast, CC, and Gee Bee are my favorite UMs is because they fly much like their large-scale & full-scale counterparts. Ditto for the Pitts. It's one of my favorites because it has the personality of a Pitts Special! If I want uncoupled, goes-where-you-point-it handling, I'll fly the Beast, Sbach, or Yak.

I gotta get mine out of the box soon. Been flying much bigger planes. Was showing someone the Beast yesterday and as I picked it up all the good times came back to memory.
