Question
Katana 46 v2 cog

Hi all. According to the manual a cog 5.25 inches (133mm) back from the leading edge is a good place to start. I'm about to set it up at this with an empty tank. Should I believe the manual. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello. I have an older Accel hobbies ( I think that's the brand) 46 Katana (48" wing) and I've got it balanced at approx. 5" back from the LE and it's a bit nose heavy. I'm just getting used to it and intend on moving it back a bit once I get used to it.

I'm assuming you are talking about the TM Pro Katana.

Thanks for the reply regarding the Katana cog. It is a TM Pro. I Haven't flown mine yet. How are you getting on with yours. Still in one piece?

Hey mate,

You need to get yours up in the air. Mine is seriously fun to fly. Mine is a bit over powered with a YS 63 fz 4 stroke on it. Full throttle take off and she's off the ground in around 2 meters haha. Flying is done at about 1/2 throttle and it'll go out of site vertical on full

As for the balance I moved it back a small amount. Not much but now it is pretty much neutral. You can go inverted and not touch the sticks.

It's a fun thing mine and I'm pretty sure the TM pro is identical to mine except yours will have a 2 piece wing whereas mine is glued in.
