Hacker A60-6XS on 8S

Hey guys,

Just for peoples information in the future, as I couldn't find much info on this...

I am running a Hacker A60-6XS in my 71" 3DHS Slick (CC Edge 100amp ESC). It was on a 6S lipo with a 21x10 Xoar electric prop and I wasn't very happy with the motor's performance with this battery setup. The motor felt weak, no punch, and had minimal power on pullout from hover.

Anyway I decided to up try the A60-6XS on 8 cell to see what happened. It was a night and day difference. The motor came alive with lots of punch for pulling out of hover and other vertical maneuvers.

With a 21x10 Xoar prop and 8S 35C fully changed lipo the motor was pulling right around 1800 watts +/- 5% at full throttle. Well below the 1900 max wattage.

With a 8S 4000mah lipo I was getting 6-7minute flights being fairly heavy on the throttle and I still had 20% capacity left in the battery.

Hope this helps someone with similar issues in the future!

I am running my Hacker A60-6XS on 7s with a Graupner 16x12x3 at 1600 watts using an ice 100. What interests me is that you are using an CC edge 100 and Castle admits that as of 2 days ago, there is a bug in the firmware which doesn't allow 28 pole motors to reach there full power. Your experience confirms this. I am waiting for this to be resolved before I get a CC edge. If the bug is fixed, you may find you have too much battery, but who knows.
