Got my NEW MSRX motor 3 minutes to install. Flies GREAT.

My 1st MSRX came today. Have flown it 3 times. Just doing 3 foot hovers and a little bit around the room with the OEM RTF TX. Can hover fingers off, no trim, for quite a while. The Nano QX always needed some trim.

1st question...It hovers at an angle of approx. 15 deg right roll.....right side low.

2nd....Brushless upgrade? Will the Blade Blade Nano CP X BL kit work? Was gonna order $10 replacement main motor but why not put it towards BL kit?

3rd.....Use Nano CPX tail?

4th.....Motor rest/cooling time? I figure min 5+ min. minimum.

5th....Bat options? More POWER? I have Lectron180mah, eflite 150/120mah bats. Will higher mah bats work? Good place to buy bats?

Love to hear any advice/suggestions. I know LOTs of great info here but some threads are DEEP and would take a while to read.

Got my NEW MSRX motor 3 minutes to install. Flies GREAT. How bout OILING it?

Thanks!!

1st question: ALL single rotor helis hover at an angle. It's called translating tendency and is caused by the main rotor needing some tilt to counteract the push of the tail rotor.

2nd: Depends on where you want to go. If this is a stepping stone to CP, I wouldn't bother with upgrades. Brushless motors don't do as well in applications like a FP heli where the RPM needs to change all the time. They do much better with their RPM kept fairly steady and in the motor's "sweet spot".

3rd: Don't know.

4th: Should be about right.

Suggestions: Just enjoy flying it before you start thinking about upgrades, especially any aluminum upgrades. Most are for looks only, and can actually adversely affect flight characteristics.

MCPx batteries are much too wide to fit.

Cronic issue with new flyers is wanting to get long flights. Stay stock and
learn your bird. Mcp-X battery is twice weight of stock battery if not more. Not needed.
Another thing is what do I mod.. Nothing yet. fly it . Blade grips are weak on this bird/ new set $4.00/ Mico heli metal grips $15.00-$20.00 Why ??
BL upgrade is a waste, but hey your $$. Fly this heli decent and easily go to a c/p.

Does RTF come with an extra set of blades? I found extra tail rotor, screwdriver, links, O-rings.

Save my $$ for new Blade 200 SRX.

Thanks!

Also....When I hookup the bats power comes on at 1st then goes off until I press fairly hard on the connector. I didn't have this problem with my Nano QX. BTW....Some of these bats are from my QX.

Is it easy to replace power connector? Thanks!!

Glad you are liking the model; I fly mine stock with the stock TX as well. It seems to me you've received good advice here. If I were you I wouldn't mod a thing. Just fly this heli regularly until you can fly it well, and then you'll be ready to fly pretty much anything. As to the packs, some of my packs fit better than others. The main thing is to not bugger up the connector on the heli...
Ps. I don't lube this heli at all

There's nothing to lube, it's all CF and vinyl.

OEM TX....Main problem I have is the TX is very sensitive compared to same OEM TX with Nano QX. So I'm constantly over-controlling....leading to PIO. Yes, I'm using the beginners rate. Would dx6i TX sensitivity be adjustable?

Interesting flying in wind. The heli jerks compared to other FPs I have. Is that from the Advanced AS3X FBL system working? In my short time flying RC Heli's I find it a fun training tool trying to not crash in wind...Keeping (trying) the heli in a stable hover in one location.

Thanks!

Motor QUIT yesterday?!!?!? Worked a week. So what am I doing WRONG? I'd fly then let rest 20 minutes min. Maybe fly max 3-4 times a day. Is it the temp here high 70s to 80s? Also, very very dusty here. A very fine dust.

Would a brushless motor last longer? So is their a OEM brushless beginners model?

Thanks

The main motor usually lasts a lot longer than that. Maybe you got a bad one or got dust in it. There has never been a need for an upgrade.
