Great work Joe. Have you balanced your EDF unit? It sounds unbalanced.

Sorry, you're not the first. Some Swede but a mini-turbine jet in an LX twin 70mm F/A-18F airframe. And he's probably not the first, either!

And who said that mine was the first? BTW, If you read the post properly it said the video footage first, meaning the turbine, Joe.

Thanks Mate, no I haven't balance this unit I think to my old memory it came assembled from Tony. I have logged now 35 flights with it and wouldn't touch it, I find it runs like as a pussycat had two more flights with it today off the grass at home club. Forget about what it sounds like on vid. you should hear it for real, absolutely awesome and smooth, Joe.

"and the foamy jet turbine first"

Well, that's how it reads, according to my understanding of the English language. Sounds like you meant to say "Couple of videos of today flights with my 7.5Kwatt foamy monster powered by 127mm Ramtec/CC160/12S8000, the first is with jet turbine, enjoy Joe."

Still going strong after all these years, had another flight today in little unpredictable/changing wind directions landing more less down wind, enjoy the OZ wild life, at least they don't eat you!, Joe.

Mate, that's a good question and you could argue about it for ever and ever in my view. I'm not trying to be a SA calling my model the biggest but at the time I built it, it was probably the biggest and most powerful EDF foamy in this section.
What do you think is bigger, 10' floater lets say with 1Kw of power and 2.5kg AUW or 8'/10Kw/8kg model, you know what I mean? Regards Joe.

Cont. or what's bigger the solar panel powered experimantal NASA plane or "A380" or "An225ver"? Obviously the total square flying area would be a good way to measure it but even greater would be some sort of formular in which you could combine the square foot area, with wing loading and power output per weight of model, see if you can come up with something, J.
