4035-630 KV

12s 30c 5000 mah gave me 4200 to 4400 watts. The motor is fine up to 5000 watts and stays cool

I have used both the

4035-630 KV on 12s

4035-800 KV on 10s this works well. I have tried this setup on 12s but the amps are way too high for me.

I have also used the new HET motors the 700 series with good results.

Sean,
pretty sure that is a speacial order motor that Sapac is useing.

I'm also pretty sure they get it with a longer shaft. The 4035 is a smaller Dia and fits in the motor tube. The 5035 is bigger and sits right behind the motor tube with an adaptor.

That's my take on it looking at pictures of both

That's good feedback, thx Ron. I may be better off then getting the complete fan from sapac and selling my NIB dm fan. Thinking it may be the ticket for the F104.

Yeah the 5035 is a custom order job with long shaft, also the shaft standard is 10mm so it has to be specified ground down to 8mm or different bearings used to run an 8mm shaft all the way. I am waiting on custom shafts so I can mount the 5035 into my CNC Alloy housing, then I will have both Dynamax and Ramtec rotor options for the 5035, all in the one assembly.

Ralph, I have a box of burned motors Lucian sent me. I'm in the process of winding a 4035 to 4.5kw continuous now. I'll keep you posted. Planning on a 6kw continuous croco style winding eventually. "Practice practice"

Tom,

How did you get the stator off the bearing tube on those Scorpions. The one I tried doing there was no way the stator was coming off.

Terry, I just found this, what I did was to unwrap the stator on the bearing tube, used long 3mm screws to push the stator off using a stack of nickles under the screw ends as it moved. The best way was to stick the whole thing in the counter top oven (minus the bell) at 250 for an hour first using gloves to unwrap, hold and turn the screws, patients is the key to not warping the stator plates or bearing tube mount. The heat breaks down their epoxy fixing. Don't mushroom the screw tips!
Ralph, yours is in the works, just have other obstacles in the way presently.

Ingenous Tom.

I have wound a bunch of motors in my time, but stopped trying to do scorpions when I ruined a few stators.
