Turnigy TGY-113MG Digital servo

Just received the new digital metal servo from HK.
It is the best performance @ $8 price range digital servo I had try till date.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...0_10s_12g.html

Tested side by side with Emax ES08MD, TGY-113MG speed is slightly faster & resolution is much better than ES08MD.
Think EMAX is over rated for its spec.
I did open the TGY-113MG for inspection, it output pot having different design which I don't quite understand although it is still using the same potential tech.
The metal gear in it is very precise consider at this price.
However not sure the durability for this new servo, as I notice the motor operate at higher temperature at high stress/torque conditions.

Anyone got to try this new servo please share your experience.

Apparently, this is same as KST DS113MG servo.
Not sure why Hobbyking label as made in Taiwan? as KST is made in China!!!!!!
However Hobbyking is selling @ below $8.

@Tovin, the HK site shows the "F" dimension as 28mm, whereas the overall height is 31mm. Other mini servos like the Corona etc have F = 21mm. Can you check it on yours?

Are the mounting lugs solid, or are they hollowed out on the underside?

These look quite promising for cyclic on a 450 Pro, even if the F dimension is 28mm. If it's actually 21mm or so, they should work on other 450's too.

Its same size as Turnigy TGY-306 servo from visual view.
Mounting tab is solid not hollow.
The cyclic control feels more accurate than Emax digital servo.
However its still having some play from its metal gear inside.
I had install on Tarot sport450 flybar version, did improve on the cyclic control.
Tgy-306 still better, no play & high speed.
For $8 servio this is the best digital servo I had try, better than expensive Henge servo.

Just crashed a 1100 gr 3D plane because the 113 on the elevator couldn't handle it.

Pretty disappointed in the torque of this servo, it couldn't even handle pulling it out of a fast loop, using the standard servo arm!

I had remove all 113 as it has quality issues, never survive if crashed.
I only use it for scale slow flying & cheap built aircraft.
