Marabu dlg... Possibly new ??

Recently found this on the quest for entry level Dlgs..

Didn't find much in the way of info..
Looks great and the construction seems sound for a machine sub 200 Dollars

I actually emailed the maker and he confirmed a few things.

Its costs 115 euros so about 140 Us ?? or close
The profile is AG 45 - 42 ... Drelas foils ??
Full span Ailerons so I presume Flaperons can be realised also..

Heres the rest

Good question... Not much info about on it yet.. I did see a red one that seems identical on the same site but its slightly cheaper so maybe a SAL version.

Sure does look nice though for the money, very little to assemble.

I wonder about the throwing peg installation. There is not much structure out at the tips and will require some extra material (weight) to secure.

I cant tell really, but it looks like a plywood base and a dab of epoxy to hold the peg?

Nice thick rib at the tip though. Im wondering if that carbon spar goes through the last rib entirely.

The peg placement is not ideal but should work for what it is.

Just as a matter of interest... I was also contemplating either the mountain models dl50 or quick flick 2... Anybody know which of the two would be the better performer. I need to take into account that I live by the sea so its windy most days.

I nearly bought the marabu but Because I don't drive the smaller wingspans of the mountain models seem like a better option..

Pity.. I just started into dlg 2 weeks ago and out of knowhere a dog appeared and chased down my glider.. Bugger danced all over it before I could get to it..
The dog was delighted..He must of thought he caught a bird

This looks great. Same construction as a bug for the wing and a nice looking fusalage.

Cant wait to get my hands on one.

Certainly does look nice.. I really want to get one but lugging around a 1.5m wing without a car is problematic.. The removable tail is also a big plus..

Damn Damn !!

BTW if anyone gets one.. Please post back and let us know what were missing ;]
