Aresti 40 Conversion

Well, my Global .46 Ultimate Bipe conversion bit the big one after about 50 flights due to radio failure. So I went out and bought a Hangar 9 Aresti 40 ARF pattern type ship. The Jeti 45-3, 12-8 APC- E, 12- 3300 GPs, Jeti 70-3P flew this plane absolutely beautifully!! The quality of the kit is supurb, the batteries load through the canopy right on the C-G on top of the wing. I had to cut the ply servo tray out in the back and mod that a little for the HS-81 mg servos to fit further back in the fuse. I used standard servos in the wing, reciever is on top and back of the wing. This kit is a very easy conversion to do and I would highly reccomend it. Aerobatics are stellar and no bad habits! Mark--

The stock landing gear worked perfectly, also I will take some photos and post them later today. I just came back from flying her now, what an awesome plane! Mark-

Batt. and R/X location

Battery and reciever location. Battery is velcroed and strapped to center front of wing, HS-81s and reciever to the rear. Nice part is you can make c-g adjustments very easy!

Motor Mount

Motor mount view, I used PVC spinkler pipe to get the motor " out there". Standard Jeti aluminum radial mount.

Cooling hole in firewall

Cooling hole in firewall. I used a hole saw to cut a cooling path through the fuse. On the bottom rear of the fuse, I cut out the last open panel of Ulracoat for the air to exaust. Lemme tell ya, it's a hurricane of cooling to keep everybody happy inside!

Battery and R/X location

Battery and R/X location. I'm using two 6-cell packs stacked and in series, but if you want to run lipos or a single 12 cell stick pack, no problem. There is all kinds of room fore and aft to do this.

Don't have a scale yet, but I'm gonna guess about 6-1/2 lbs. Will be getting one real soon, then I can post to the ounce! Mark-

If anyone wants one of these, a guy on eBay has a stack of them for $129. His shipping is a little high at $20, but the total is still $149, or twenty bucks less than the street price of $169 at most of the online stores:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=19164

He usually has one listed for bid (including right now) for $124.99. Mine just closed about an hour ago, which is why I didn't say anything until now! $145 delivered is far and away the best price I have found.
