HobbyKing/EasySky Micro B-17!

Well, well, well....look what popped up in a recent HobbyKing video !

It appears that our friends at HobbyKing are entering the UMX bomber market with a B-17 of their own....check out the video at around the 13:40 mark :
HobbyKing Live - 'Weekly Update' 20 (18 min 39 sec)

Stuart himself calls it "a nice little tease"....

From what we can see, it looks to be very well done, with scale props, turrets, etc.

I snipped a couple of stills from the video; please excuse the poor quality, but you get the idea.

Looking forward to specs on this neat little model,

Cheers all !

Looks even better than the Eflite. Brushless motors would be a massive plus!!! But too small for my interest. 😕

Yeah, I've kind of moved past the micros. But, a four engine bomber... If it's 2S, brushless and I can get a Lemon in it... Could be pretty cool, if it's under $100...

Very cool. Hope it will have brushless motors and a better price than Eflite's B-17.

I like

Looks a lot better than the E-flite, if it has full bodied wing's and tail section and 2s
could be lotsa fun.
When I opened the box of the E-flite one a the LHS the tail section immediately turned me off, just too flimsy!
I could see a squad of these humming around the local park though.
HK is planning on squeezing some serious money outta me for 015.

It's light weight EPO, that much I can tell you. The rest, I'll let my good friend Paul chime in as this is his project.

WOW....EPO !!

That's awesome, as the E-flite B-17 is made from EPS and it looks more pock-marked (at least in the photos) than the moon...

Thanks Stuart for chiming in and we're looking forward to Paul's insight....

Yeah, the craters put me off. But this may keep my attention for the indoor flying season.

Lately we are getting nothing but rain. Lots of wind and power outages.

EPO
Bind and Fly to DSM2
Built in Flight Stabilization (Doesn't need it, but allows it to fly in a lot more wind) Can be turned on/off with 5th channel.
1S 500mAh - About 8 minute flights
Differential thrust and working rudder - Full 4 channel control

A tad larger than you know who's...and a lot cheaper.
Available Mid Jan.

Holy cow dude !

This thing sounds wicked...Being a DSM2/DSMX noobie, does this mean it does NOT bind to DSMX, or????

Thanks for the update Paul

DSMX radios are backwards compatible with DSM2. So yes it will bind.
