Battery charger selection questions - help needed.

Hi there.
I'm looking for some ideas/help on what type of charger to get for my J-class sailboat batts. I just got the sailboat but it came without a charger. There are two kinds of batts, one 2500MAH Ni-MH 9.6V (radio) and four 2600MAH MI-MH 6.0V (for the boat).
It would be nice to charge some of them together to reduce total charging time for me.
I have looked at Tower Hobbies but I could not tell if the plug ends were the same as the chargers they had.
I will try to attach pics.

Any ideas would help - thanks.

Bob,

The TX battery can be charged in the radio. And I have a couple different chargers here that should work as long as the batteries are in decent shape

I would need a cord for the radio for that and I do not have one.

Get one of these from SailRC before they shutdown:

I used just the charger alone ($9.00)to charge my Nirvana 4x2100mAh - NiMh batterys in the boat and 8x 2100mAh in the transmitter with the included plugs.
The transmitter lead has multiple plugs for different polarity & size jacks.

PDF manual is here.

Thanks for the info.
I think for $9.00 I'll get the charger.
I do have a question as the charger specs say it is for charging NiCd or NiMH Cells and my batts are Ni-MH and MI-MH. Is there a difference? So the Ni-MH are good to charge what about the MI-MH?? What is MI-MH anyway?? Is that a typo on the batts and should say "NI" vs "MI" - it does not appear to be a typo.
I am just confused - and nervous.

Thanks again.

Must be a typo.
That charger should work with your batteries. Motorola had a battery called MiMh according to Google, and its chemistry was NiMh.

NiCad and NiMh are charged in a similar manner. This site is an excellent source of all things battery.
