Tantrum with B20 15L 4:1 ?
I have Hacker B20 15L+G motor.
If I setup Tantrum with B20 15L+G motor, Is Good ? How much is it power. very very powerful ? How think about my plane. |

That is a little more motor than you need, but it will fly very very well. You'll have ton's of power and will rarely need full throttle(assuming correct prop choice). What kind of battery pack do you have in mind?

Replay my Threads. Because I have only B20 L15L+g motor. I have now e-tech 2S 1200, castle 25A Is that enough for unlimited Vetical Climb. If that is not, What kind of battery will good ? |

I'd go with at least 2S2P on the ET-1200's, or 2S or 3S TP2100's. I'd think that 2S might be too little voltage. Perhaps someone who has actually tried out 2S will chime in.

Lee,
Yes you can but your batteries will not last long. Your motor will draw too many amps from that battery configuration. If you have E-Tec you need at least a 2S2P or 3S2P to run that motor. If you are using the Thunder Power a 2S1P will be ok. I also assume that the new 20c kokams would also work. KČ |

You can probably make a 2 cell etec 1200 pack go vertical with that motor, but you definetly wont be using the motor to its full potential. The etecs max currnet is much lower that the hackers max current. I would start with a 10x5 apc and see if the batterys get really warm.
You can use this program to test differnt set ups. http://brantuas.com/ezcalc/dma.asp Its probably not perfetly accurate, but it will give you a place to start. |
