Looks like an LA-2, with the plug in wings and 2 stroke.61. If it has the 4 strokes engine , it would be an SL-1. Popular in the '90's. I had several friends, when I was based in the Dallas area, that loved the original LA-1.

The next question to ask is fiberglass fuse or built up fuse (wood).

I think that is an SL-1, has the right lines for it.

Thanks for all the replies guys! The first thing a had googled was silent seven but nothing came up at all. But after your responses it does look like an SL-1 or LA-2. I haven't seen the plane in person yet so I will have a little more info when I go look at it. Once I know for sure I will let you all know what it turns out to be-thanks again for your help
