Not too expensive at just over a Days wage.

I think Helicommand,BeastX,V-bar,GT5 are all good products,but not cheap(I mean less than USD150.00 for retail.).Tarotzyx is the cheapest one,but doesn't work great,I think Bigaole flybarless system is a great choice,it doesn't need compueter to do the set-up process

What features makes one better than the other?

The most important feature, is how well it works.

I've had good luck with the AR7200bx, just make sure to get a DSMX satellite for it and run a BEC.

Inexpensive ≠ inexpensive. A beast X for $250 can be a good deal, or you can find one for $30 and wonder if it's any good. Usually good things don't come cheap. I will slap the $30 unit on my $50 E-Sky kit and if it does fail, I'm only sacrificing my day's wage.

I have a Tarot ZYX-S on a Blade 400 and a Copter X 3X 1000 pm a Blade 450 and they both work great. My som also has a ZYX-S on a Blade 450 and his works great as well.

There are threads on around six different brands of FBL units which cost $60 or less. All of them work well and personal perferences are mostly due to ease of setup and tuning.

Myself and son use very easy to use computer GUI software for set ups and tweaking and it is very simple.

Can you sum up any significant differences so we don't have to wade through about a thousand pages of random posts? As you've said, the only noticeable difference i can tell is how to set them up, but no relative comparison on how they actually fly. If you were to see someone flying a heli in the field, can you tell what gyro is in the heli by how it flies?

I was reluctant to be very specific, since I don't have the experience with the low cost ones asked about. I can say that on the more pricey gyro's you can get vibration, and data logging, GPS, more servo options(digital or analog), or auto leveling. The basic ones you can expect just the features needed to fly.
