Testing

Ok I get decent flight with theese settings.. FIRMWARE 5,12
But not perfect, its still alittle NOT Staying put, alittle all over the place in Atti-gps.
Drifting up and down, and in vertical lines from side to side ( alittle)

Any suggestions are welcome,

I have a Hexa F550, T.motor 2216 ( 900kv )
Graupner 10x5 E-props.
maytech esc 30amps.

2,5 kilo lift-off weight.

EDIT : Everything are centered, does not look like it, but it is perfect in balance

EDIT : I have slight wind, and small gust ( normal weather I would say )

( Mounting is ) = Z on the Imu is 1 cm // Z on the gps is -15

out of interest, did you try with lower gain values? the reason I ask is that your setup is very similar to mine interms of dimensions and AUW and the gains seem to be very high yet your getting drifts(which could be vibration related or simply the craft not being able to compensate fast enough)...I have a feeling that most people are facing issues because DJI changed the gain range.

I just started testing with 5.12 yesterday...100% was un-fliable(swinging and not enough compensation)...next I tried 150%...still swinging but better(at least I could fly it)...I guess 250% would be rock solid for my setup, will test some more today.

Im using remote gain tuning on pitch roll, and on atti.

Im getting very good results right now, with medium vind in Gps-atti.
Will post my gains sortly, doing the last settings on my attitude on remote, just ran out of batteries ;-) now I have used up 7 battery-packs on testing.. :-) One thing I have noticed is that YAW is now up to 300 after seeing Ab74 doing his testing with his octo.

stupid question but just for sanity

I know this was probably asked before but I couldn't find the answer easily:

When the IMU is mounted to left of the CoG, should the number in the assistant be positive or negative? The manual says distance from the center of the IMU to the CoG, which according to the diagram means that if the IMU is on the left, the number should be positive. However going by the description of the diagram it's the opposite.

Are you sure your Z value is correct? It seems with batteries that low it would atleast be around -3 -4?

Something you might want to look at

I will need to try some higher gains and push mine, maybe that will help with wind..They had to play around with the gain matrix, relearing everything right now!

With the battery only I never had to set the Z value before although my Z cog is about 2.5cm below the bottom plate...I only set the Z value when i have the camera + mount underneath. I didn't change anything since FW 5.08 hence my surprise that it would behave like that since the upgrade
