Module swap in Futaba 8UHS
I tried several different searches but did not find what I want. I have a Futaba 8UHS and it came with a Ch 54 module. I want to put a Ch 25 module in it to be compatible with other flyers at our field. Will changing the module from a Tx with a high band module to a low band module change the range on the Tx? I thought I read somewhere that you should not change from high to low or vise versa. That may have been in documentation on my Futaba 6EX and changing the Tx crystal on that radio. So I am changing the complete module not changing a crystal. Thanks for any help with this swap.

Changing a complete module for one on a different channel will not affect the range.
Anyway the low band/high band thing only applies to certain Futaba receivers NOT to transmitters.

Or even better deal, an Hitec Spectra which can do any channel between #11 and #60,and fit the Futaba radios:

You can also purchase the Futaba Synthesized module which also allows you the choice of any channel from 11 to 60:
