Need to Track Where At in Long Thread

To RC Groups Managers or whomever may know how:

I am reading a long thread with many, many posts. Is there any way to mark where in the thread I am at. I tried saving the URL but that just brought me back to the beginning to the thread.

Frustrated, but TIA.
Jim

Long threads have many pages. Simply bookmark the actual page you are on.

i.e. this thread has many pages
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=268471

but at the top and bottom of the thread are direct page links

Page 1 of 29 1 2 3 4 5 6 > Last

The link for page 5 looks like this:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...1&page=5&pp=25

(you see it includes the page number, as well as the number of posts per page)..

My browser window agrees up to this point. I have the RC Groups display in "Threaded Mode."

I do not see this at all in your example thread's display in "Threaded Mode", but I have seen it in forum displalys.

The link on the top of my browser in the address bar looks like this:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=268471. Below the "Thread Tools" tool bar and the Hitec banner addvert is a section containing a very nice tree diagram of the entire thread. Unfortunatly it does NOT include post numbers. If it did I would mearly make note of the thread number I was at and open it via this tree diagram display.

To view the fifth post, posted by Joedy, I counted down to the fifth post from the top post by Steve McBride titled
Multiplex Royal Evo Tx Part II, and clicked on the fifth post and got the link described in the previous paragraph.

I will experiment with a couple of other threads and see if any act differently.
