Late last night I was mess with intakes I had a thought. If I take and make a 50% version of this plane when done would all my wood sizes fit at a 80" version. A 50% Mossi would be 75.5" of my design. So a .25X.5 stick would be .124X.25. So.... when I looked at how loose a piece would fit if the plane was 80" instead of 75.50" there is just about no visual difference. So when I am 100% done with the drawings I will have 2 sizes, one at 151", and one at 80"......

Kinda Kewl......

Pardon my ignorance, but is there something magical about 80"? What is better about 80" than 75.5"?

Been on the road which gives me zero time on the 36, but late night in my hotel i get design time. Man did I find a complete screw-up in the mossi wing design. Its correct now, but the time it took to fix it was a pain. It had to do with how the nacelle fit, and it also changed my nacelle design just about 100% where my bulkheads are located.

A few crazy facts already. The wing will have (at this point) 214 hand cut parts, and that does not include and stringers or spar parts.

Last week was a very slow week. Work had me slammed. I had to clean up the fuse as once I started getting it ready to import into 3D I saw many many problems. So if I had to guess I would say I redesigned 50% of the fuse work I had done. To date I have about 170 hours in this design. This project as far as design and getting it into CAD started June of last year. I am very happy with the nacelles also.

I still have about 10 hours of cleaning up to do, but that will take a few weeks as the 36 is getting all my time when I can make noise.

Here is the first 3D test fit. I am really happy with how it turned out. While the B36 is a huge project, this project will be my closest attempt at being very scale......

Been slammed with work. Not much done, but I did test fit my wing ribs in 3D. Very rewarding...... for the first project every ribs fit 110% perfect......

This will be my closest to true scale project ever........

Well..... here are part 1 of my Mossi drawings. I have spent a few night cleaning them up and making sure all the wood sizes are correct. As you can tell with my B36 work stalled due to my work load it will take me months to get all of these parts into 3D to to make sure my design works.

Thanks, DAG

And if anyone can get these PDF's to open let me know and I will try to post them as pictures.
